Teacher Training 2026

Learn to Teach Restorative Yoga with Julia Clarke

In this rewarding weekend immersion, you will learn how to guide your own Restorative Yoga classes with confidence and ease.

Together we’ll explore the alchemy of the stress response and the relaxation response, gentle breath work and meditations to calm the nervous system and discover how to create and weave thoughtfully chosen themes through your classes to inspire self-care on and off the mat.

You will receive a detailed manual for this training and we will learn a thoughtful, effective Restorative Yoga sequence that will serve as a strong foundation for your classes. You will leave ready to teach Restorative Yoga in a class or private setting, with an integrated understanding of how this healing modality functions to combat stress and fatigue.

Meet Julia

Julia Clarke is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, Ayurvedic practitioner and writer who lives in her hometown of Glasgow. She has been teaching yoga since 2008 and is the author of two books: the Amazon bestseller Restorative Yoga for Beginners and Living in Balance with Maharishi Ayurveda.

Julia primarily teaches Vinyasa, Restorative and Yin Yoga styles. She lived in the US for nearly 20 years and during that time she owned a yoga studio in the Rocky Mountains, made wine in Missouri, worked as a radio presenter in Vermont and Boston and a music promoter in New York City.

She has trained with many great yoga teachers and earned 200 hours in Hatha Yoga at Integral Yoga Institute in New York, 300 hours in Prana Flow with Shiva Rea, Restorative Yoga with Shannon Paige and Yin Yoga with Corina Benner.

When she's not teaching yoga, Julia is an outdoors journalist which sees her spending her days exploring the mountains on foot, bike and belay, then writing about it. Back on the mat, she's a champion for using Yoga and Ayurveda as a means to recharge and enjoy life to the fullest, and believes strongly in sustainability in yoga as well as in life.
